About the Project
Globe Derby Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
Globe Derby BESS is located adjacent to the Parafield Gardens West substation, north of Adelaide. It is anticipated to have a power capacity of 90MW and provide up to 8 hours of energy storage.
A BESS project at Globe Derby will ensure forms of renewable energy can be captured, stored and distributed to the northern region of Adelaide to assist during periods of peak consumer demand or low solar and wind generation on the grid.
